By definition A philanthropist is a person who donates time, money, experience, skills or talent to help create a better world. Anyone can be a philanthropist, regardless of status or net worth. This page was created to bring awareness to a variety charities and causes that I feel passionate about. The items that will be showcased on this page are either a handbag, wallet or tote or the combination thereof. I LOVE handbags and wallets, and have discovered another way to use my gift of sewing to make handbags and wallets to raise money for a great cause and donate 100% of those proceeds to that particular cause/organization.

In the month of June 2021, the organization of choice that we are looking to support is Black Minds Matter UK. This organization was discovered through Sewing Patterns by Mrs. H. Samantha, the owner of Sewing Patters by Mrs. H created the Cwtsh Bag Pattern as a charity pattern, each Cwtsh Bag pattern sold will be donated to the organization 'Black Minds Matter'. We encourage those that are bag making enthusiasts and beginner bag makers to consider purchasing the Cwtsh Bag pattern directly from the Sewing Patterns by Mrs. H website. The mission as stated on the Black Minds Matter UK website is to “connect Black individuals and families with free mental health services — by professional Black therapists to support their mental health. To make this happen, we want to make mental health topics more relevant and accessible for all Black people in the U.K., removing the stigma and remodelling the services to be relevant for the Black community”.
